Now you can get your own unique preemiedoll matching your child's size and weight at birth. Finally you can show your friends how little your little premature baby in fact was at birth.
The doll is very lifelike but minor deviation from your child's measurements exist. It is difficult to get the exact head circumference or length, but the result is as close as possible.
The small preemiedoll comes to you with hat and a fleece blanket with embroidered name, date of birth, weight and height. The doll has an ID band of pink or light blue around the leg. With the doll comes also diapers.
It may take four to six weeks for the doll to be ready to go home, it depends on how many small preemiedolls that we care for at the same time. Of course we want the doll to come home to its family as soon as possible.
You can also choose to have the doll coming home in a snuggle-up, the same as those found in NICU. The snuggle-up is available in various sizes and fitted out for your little preemiedoll to be comfortable in.
You can choose to have your doll with a precise weight. However, many people find the exact weight feels heavy, as if the child were dead. If you choose not to adjust the weight, we will fill the doll with a mass equivalent to about two thirds of birth weight and it feels more "alive". You perceive the weight of an alert child as lighter than a sleeping child from the child's muscle tone.
